The UCI announces the 2026 WorldTour: complete list and surprises in promotions and relegations

After the deadline for registration and validation of the different teams entitled to a World Tour license for the upcoming three-year period, the UCI has presented the final list of teams that will be part of the highest category along with their official names.

Confirmed lists of teams that will be part of the World Tour

We now know which teams will have a World Tour license, the highest category in cycling for the next three seasons. This license duration will also extend to women's cycling in 2026. The number of 18 teams in the men's category remains, while there will be 14 World Tour teams among women.

However, the three-year validity of the license will not apply to everyone. According to the article of the regulations regarding economic conditions, Picnic-PostNL, in both categories, will only have a one-year validity for its license, which will be reviewed at the end of the 2026 season to ensure compliance with the economic obligations by the Dutch team.

As we already knew, from the previous license validity period, Arkéa-B&B Hotels will drop out after its disappearance, and Cofidis will not have achieved the necessary points to be among the 18 best teams of the triennium, positions that will be occupied by NSN Cycling, which inherits the license obtained by Israel-PremierTech, the team resulting from the merger of Lotto and Intermarché, in addition to XDS-Astana and Uno-X Mobility.

NSN Cycling will have a Swiss license, while Lidl-Trek changes its country of registration from the United States to Germany due to the increasing relevance of Lidl, the main sponsor of the team.
