New Cannondale Topstone Carbon 2025: ready for adventure gravel riding

With the recovery of the SuperX model as a mixed cyclocross and gravel competition bike, Cannondale has had free rein to focus its Topstone, now in its third generation, towards a more adventurous gravel, for more challenging routes and long bikepacking trips.

The new Cannondale Topstone Carbon arrives, which, as expected after learning about the intentions of the new Cannondale SuperX a month ago, has opted for an extremely comfortable bike, capable of accommodating large tires and with the possibility of focusing on radical gravel thanks to the option of having the famous and unique Lefty Oliver fork.

Having maximum comfort is essential when facing endless mileage routes as is often the case in bikepacking trips. With this premise, Cannondale continues to use its KingPin design in the rear, an original rear suspension with a pivot point at the junction of the seat stays and seat tube, relying on the 30mm of travel it offers to the flex of the chainstays.

Meanwhile, in the front, while you can opt for a conventional fork, the maximum potential of this new Cannondale Topstone Carbon is achieved with the option that includes a Lefty Oliver fork that offers an efficient 40mm of travel.

In addition to the frame's ability to accept tires up to 52mm, in the front, you can mount tires up to 47mm with the Lefty fork and monstrous 56mm tires with the rigid fork.

Beyond this quest for comfort, the Cannondale Topstone Carbon frame focuses on long distances with a complete set of mounts to attach bottle cages and other bikepacking accessories, in addition to the increasingly common internal storage in the downtube that almost all bikes of this concept include nowadays. Cannondale also takes the opportunity to route the brake hoses through the steerer tube, achieving cleaner lines.
