The Super Worlds force some date changes: UCI confirms the 2027 WorldTour calendar
The UCI has already defined the UCI WorldTour men's and women's calendars for the 2027 season, a year particularly influenced by the celebration of the Super World Championship in Haute-Savoie, France. The main road cycling races already have dates, from the spring classics and Monuments to the Grand Tours and the final stretch of the season.
The UCI WorldTour men's 2027 will kick off on January 19 and the Super World Championship requires some date changes
As usual, Australia will be the starting point of the season. The Santos Tour Down Under will open the WorldTour on January 19 and, just a week later, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race will take place. From there, the peloton will travel to the United Arab Emirates before landing in Europe to begin the classics campaign.
The overall structure of the calendar maintains much of the scheme of recent years, although 2027 presents an important peculiarity. The UCI World Championships in Haute-Savoie will be held from August 24 to September 5, forcing a significant reorganization of the final stretch of the season. We remind you that this will be the second Super World Championship, the first was in Glasgow, and it will bring together almost all cycling disciplines in one event.
The main affected will be La Vuelta, which will delay its start until September 4 and will finish on the 26th. Thus, the Spanish round will be held entirely in September, instead of starting in August as is usual.

After them, the last stretch of the season will remain, with Il Lombardia and the Tour of Guangxi. The latter will officially close the WorldTour on October 17.

In total, there will be 36 races and 169 days of competition, from January 19 to October 17. A calendar that keeps the first half of the season practically intact, but will have an unusual summer finish due to the coincidence of the Super World Championship and the shift of La Vuelta to September.
UCI Women's WorldTour 2027 calendar
The UCI Women's WorldTour 2027 will feature 26 events in 11 countries and three continents, totaling 69 days of competition. The season will start on January 22 with the Santos Tour Down Under and will run until October 14, when the Tour of Chongming Island in China concludes.
If in the men's calendar the Super World Championship in Haute-Savoie has forced the shift of La Vuelta, in the women's there will also be significant changes in the second half of the year. The Tour de France Femmes will take place from July 30 to August 7, starting a day earlier than usual, while the Tour of Britain Women and the Classic Lorient Agglomération will move their dates to make room for the World Championship, scheduled from August 24 to September 5.
But the most striking change will be in La Vuelta Femenina, which leaves its usual slot in May and moves to October 3-10, immediately after the men's Vuelta. Its move has also caused the Vuelta a Burgos Femeninas to shift to May 6-10. These two dates were modified later and have already been ratified by the UCI.

- Giro d'Italia Women: from May 29 to June 6

With both calendars already defined, the 2027 WorldTour season will again extend for almost ten months, from the Australian start in January to the last Asian races in October. A year in which the Super World Championship in Haute-Savoie will particularly disrupt the second half of the season and will require an unusual fitting of some of the major events in the men's and women's calendars.
