The special edition Orbea bikes with which Lotto commemorates its 40th anniversary in the Tour of Flanders
If the Tour of Flanders, which takes place next Sunday, April 6, is a special race for the Belgians, for the Lotto team this year it is even more special as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of a team that has always excelled in the classics. To celebrate, apart from unveiling a new commemorative jersey, Orbea has prepared an exclusive decoration for each rider with a similar theme to the mentioned jersey.
Orbea unleashes the creativity of its MyO program to participate in the 40th anniversary of Lotto
During this 2025, the Lotto team celebrates 40 years and can boast, despite not being the oldest structure currently in the peloton (that recognition goes to Movistar), of having been linked to Lotto, the national lottery company of Belgium, throughout its history, which technically makes it the flagship team of this country.

A long journey in which they can also boast of having had some of the legends of Belgian cycling in their ranks, such as Peter Van Petegem or Philippe Gilbert, as well as other great riders like Robbie McEwen, André Greipel, or Caleb Ewan. An anniversary that coincides with the end of the World Tour licenses cycle and, unless a catastrophe occurs, will end at the end of this year with Lotto's return to the top category.
There are many things to celebrate, and what better place to do it than at the Tour of Flanders, the most important day for Belgian cycling, with the permission of the Doyenne. Celebrations that Orbea did not want to miss, and as is usual for bike brands in these situations, they have prepared a special decoration for the team's bikes. Well, not just one, actually 7, one for each rider of the team in line with the special edition kit that Lotto will wear in this race.
An 80s-inspired kit in which a collage is created with the different colors that Lotto has worn over these 40 years, often influenced by the secondary sponsors that have accompanied the lottery company. Orbea's designers have used the MyO customization program to create 7 different designs, breaking down these different decorations on each of the bikes.
The Orbea Orca Aero bikes that the Lotto cyclists will use in this race, as expected, have been hand-painted at Orbea's headquarters in the town of Mallabia, as would happen with any customer's bike who uses the MyO customization program.
For Orbea, this celebration of Lotto represents the reaffirmation of the shared values of both brands: an unwavering passion for cycling, a connection to the land, a focus on developing young talents, continuous improvement, and making their activities have a social impact.
