Zwift has just presented many of the new features that will arrive on its platform in the coming months. The new season of This Season on Zwift will bring changes both in hardware and within the game itself, with a new generation of the Zwift Ride, more roads in Watopia, integration with WHOOP, and new tools for training and competing.

Zwift Ride V2: more adjustments at the same price

The first novelty is already available. Zwift has introduced the Zwift Ride V2, an evolution of its indoor cycling bike that maintains the price of 1,199.99 euros, but significantly expands its adjustment possibilities. The new frame is more compact and allows the bike to be used by cyclists from 146 to 198 cm tall.

One of the main changes is in the cranks. The Zwift Ride V2 now incorporates an adjustable system with five different lengths: 160, 165, 170, 172.5, and 175 mm. This allows for better adaptation of the position to the biomechanics and preferences of each cyclist. The seat post has also been redesigned to increase the longitudinal adjustment of the saddle, especially forward.

Those who already have a Zwift Ride will not need to change bikes to access these improvements. Zwift will sell both the new adjustable cranks and the seat post separately through its website.

Zwift Companion and the main screen will also change

The renewal will also reach the software. During October, Zwift Companion will debut a new home screen aimed at making it easier to access the most important information and displaying the user's achievements and progress more clearly.

The weekly activity graph will be divided into two screens to differentiate recent activity from fitness tracking.

Another important modification will arrive sooner. Starting from September 22, Zwift will update the home screen of the game itself to give more prominence to planning.

Scheduled activities will be more visible and will appear accompanied by labels that will allow for quick identification of what is planned for each day. A Progress Widget will also be added to track weekly goals and check progress statistics.

Zwift integrates with WHOOP and will adapt recommendations based on recovery

Another new feature available from today is the integration of Zwift with WHOOP. The platform will use the recovery score provided by WHOOP to offer a more complete view of the cyclist's state. When WHOOP marks a recovery day in red, Zwift will automatically modify its Personal Recommendations to adapt the session to the user's state.

Later this fall, the integration will also work in the opposite direction: users who have connected both accounts will be able to check within WHOOP the cycling and running sessions completed in Zwift.

Watopia grows with 18 new kilometers

One of the most visible updates will arrive at the end of October. Watopia will add approximately 18 kilometers of new roads, in an expansion inspired by the west coast of California and Catalina Island.

The new roads will connect Jarvis with the Jungle and, among other possibilities, will offer a flatter alternative to avoid the Epic KOM.

The expansion will also include two crit-style circuits specifically designed for racing, further enhancing the competitive aspect of the platform.

Users will be able to discover the new area starting from October 26, coinciding with the fourth stage of the Tour of Watopia. The Tour of Watopia 2026 will take place from October 5 to November 22, and will again offer double XP and incorporate a new challenge.

Watt Lock will allow setting a power level during free rides

Another feature particularly interesting for those using Zwift as a training tool will be Watt Lock, expected in October.

unnamed-3

The idea is to bring part of the utility of ERG mode to free rides. From the Zwift Action Bar, it will be possible to activate Watt Lock and set a specific power level, so that the cyclist can maintain, for example, a steady ride in Zone 2 without having to constantly monitor the watts.

Users of Zwift Ride, Zwift Click, and Zwift Play will be able to use their own controls to modify the selected power on the fly.

Power Play will arrive in November

Between November 23 and December 27, Zwift will also launch Power Play, a new campaign based on completing efforts using different Power Segments.

The proposal will use segments from New York, the climbs of Montmartre, and The Grade, as well as new Power Segments included in the upcoming expansion of Watopia.

Completing these challenges will allow users to earn different rewards, including virtual gear and Drops.

Factor and Black Inc arrive at the Drop Shop

Indeed, Drops will have more options for spending. Following the renovation of the Drop Shop carried out this year, Zwift will continue to expand its catalog in the coming months.

In October, a Kona-themed collection will arrive with new triathlon bikes and wheels. Later, Factor Bikes will be added, accompanied by Black Inc wheels. The Zwift x Pinarello decoration will also be available.

Additionally, two new Halo Bikes will be added. Currently, there are models from Specialized, Cannondale, and Pinarello, but during this season, flagship bikes from Cervélo and Canyon will be added.

To be able to purchase a Halo Bike, it is first necessary to fully upgrade three bikes of the corresponding brand within Zwift.

Zwift strengthens racing with new formats

Competition will also have more weight in the coming months with Zwift Racing, a proposal for permanent races that will include formats of time trial, Crit, and Epic. The first series will be powered by DURA-ACE and will start this September.

The Zwift Racing League will also return in September, although this time Zwift wants to make it easier for those who have not yet participated. To do this, it will launch the Road to Zwift Racing League sessions, designed to explain the different formats and help new participants find a team.

The first season will also debut Race of Truth, a points race format with a mass start but without drafting, forcing each participant to manage their effort without benefiting from the slipstream.

With this set of new features, Zwift faces the months of greatest activity in indoor cycling by renewing practically all the pillars of its platform: from the bike used to pedal to training planning, virtual worlds, and competitions.
