The Rockrider Race 940 S 2026 range, the model with which Samara Maxwell conquered the overall title of the XCO World Cup, is now available to the public. After its presentation at the end of last year, Decathlon has now begun its commercialization in three distinct versions.

New Rockrider Race 940 S 2026: more builds and ready for any World Cup

The RACE 940 S 2026 range was presented by Rockrider at the end of 2025 at the B'Twin Village in Lille, Decathlon's headquarters, in an event that served both to celebrate the title of the New Zealand runner and to showcase the platform with which the Decathlon Ford Racing Team had managed to prevail in the World Cup.

Months after that presentation, the three builds announced then are now starting to arrive at Decathlon stores and on the website, bringing users a bike designed directly from the competition program of the team.

Four years of development to become a winning bike

The Rockrider Race project has quickly evolved from an ambitious internal development to a platform capable of winning in the World Cup.

During the presentation event in Lille, engineers and team riders explained how the 940 S frame reached its final configuration after four years of development. The result is a dual suspension with 120 mm of travel, with kinematics optimized for modern XC and subjected to extensive fatigue testing in Decathlon's own laboratory.

The complete bikes are assembled in the Atelier MKniX in Lille, an industrial process that, according to the brand, aims to guarantee the same quality standards as the bikes used by the team in competition.

The commitment to maintaining the same standards of stiffness and efficiency demonstrates that the brand wants to break the barrier between high competition and the advanced user, offering an elite bike at different levels of equipment.
