Where it takes place and the basic rules of Rampage
Rampage is not a race, there is no stopwatch. Riders have two descents to complete their line from the top to the valley, combining technique, fluidity, creativity, and tricks. The judges score each run, and the rider with the highest score wins. In case of a tie, the two scores are added to break the tie.
As tradition dictates, the event will be held in the vicinity of Virgin, Utah, in a location that changes every few years to offer riders a new canvas to carve their lines. The terrain, formed by sandstone rock and sharp ridges, requires days of work in preparing jumps and landings, without electric tools or external materials (except sandbags).
Each rider's team has three days of excavation and four days of testing before the grand final. Often, several riders share part of the line to optimize construction work.

In the women's category, the number of participants increases from eight to twelve, with the addition of names like CJ Selig, Janelle Soukup, Kirsten Van Horne, and Georgia Astle in the main group, as well as Harriet Burbidge-Smith and Chelsea Kimball who were reserves last year.
