The new Tarmac SL9 arrives at the WorldTour teams and you can already buy it
The presentation of the new S-Works Tarmac SL9 has not only brought one of the most advanced bicycles ever developed by the American brand. Along with the launch of the platform that Specialized defines as the fastest bike in its history thanks to its Time To Finish philosophy, the Morgan Hill company has also unveiled the official decorations that its main WorldTour teams will use during the 2026 season.

The new Specialized Tarmac SL9 already has competition colors: here are the replica frames of the WorldTour teams
As we already explained in the presentation about the new Tarmac SL9, Specialized has developed this bike around a very specific idea: not to seek the best isolated data of aerodynamics, weight, or stiffness, but to reduce the actual time needed to complete a race. The result is a frame weighing 687 grams, an aerodynamic improvement of 4 watts compared to the Tarmac SL8, and a bike that, according to the brand's simulations, achieves the lowest Time To Finish of any model that has gone through its tests.
It is no coincidence, therefore, that four of the most important structures in the professional peloton will debut it in 2026. Specialized has confirmed that it will sell the Team Replica frames with the same decorations used by Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, Soudal Quick-Step, FDJ United-SUEZ, and SD Worx-Protime.

The decoration of Remco Evenepoel's team is named Motion + Emotion and seeks to represent the combination of competitive aggression and emotion that characterizes the German structure.

Visually, it stands out for a very marked transition between the front part of the frame, dominated by dark blue tones, and the white rear inspired by the already characteristic “sticker slap” design that the team has popularized in recent seasons.
According to Specialized, the goal was to create an image that conveys movement even when the bike is stationary and that is immediately recognizable within the peloton.
FDJ United-SUEZ and the concept of convergence
The women's structure led by Demi Vollering will feature a decoration called Convergence.
The design mixes the characteristic colors of the French team through different pearlescent layers to represent the idea of unity, collaboration, and collective progress. Specialized explains that the concept seeks to reflect the evolution of the team and the role it is playing in the growth of women's cycling at the highest level.

The decoration maintains an elegant aesthetic in which the different tones gradually merge along the frame, moving away from the more aggressive schemes used by other teams of the brand.
SD Worx-Protime seeks to ignite the peloton
The most eye-catching version of the entire collection is probably that of SD Worx-Protime. Named Ignite, this decoration uses a multicolor gradient accompanied by a visual effect that simulates a spark spreading across the frame. Specialized assures that the goal is to represent the explosiveness and offensive character that have made the Dutch team one of the great references in women's cycling worldwide.

The brand describes this decoration as one of the boldest and most expressive they have developed to date for a competition bike.
The spirit of the Wolfpack in the Tarmac of Soudal Quick-Step
For its part, Soudal Quick-Step will continue to bet on a visual identity closely linked to the concept of the Wolfpack.
Its new decoration is named The Hunt and combines a very dark navy blue base with high-contrast white details that aim to convey speed and movement. Specialized explains that the design is inspired by the coordination and collective instinct that have historically characterized the Belgian team.

Beyond the riders, the decoration also seeks to pay tribute to all the staff who work around the team and contribute to the constant pursuit of victories.
The four Team Replica frames will be available exclusively in frameset format and will have a price of 5,999 euros. You can check all the details on the official Specialized website.
