The French brand Van Rysel takes a step forward in mainstream cycling with the launch of the EDR CF ULTRA, a bicycle designed from scratch for cyclists who prioritize comfort without sacrificing speed.

Van Rysel launches the new EDR CF ULTRA: a long-distance bicycle designed for great adventures 

After consolidating its position in professional cycling with the RCR range - used by the UCI ProTeam Decathlon -, Van Rysel redirects its focus towards endurance cyclists with a completely new platform: the EDR CF ULTRA. This bicycle represents the brand's vision of what a machine for long routes, ultra-distance, and demanding cyclo-tourist events should be.

The EDR CF ULTRA is the result of two and a half years of development by Van Rysel's in-house performance engineering team. The result is a high-modulus carbon frame that weighs just 830 grams (size M), a remarkable figure for a bike in this category.

Its geometry has been specifically optimized for long days in the saddle, with a higher stack and shorter reach compared to the RCR range, improving posture and reducing fatigue. It also incorporates a unique fiber layout that provides strategic absorption at the bottom bracket and rear dropouts, all without sacrificing stiffness or responsiveness.

The semi-integrated cabling simplifies maintenance and allows for quick adjustments, an advantage for both long-distance cyclists and those looking for a versatile and easy-to-handle bicycle.

More than an evolution, the EDR CF ULTRA is born as a new platform designed from the ground up for long-distance cycling. Among its outstanding features are:

• Space for tires up to 38 mm, providing safety and comfort on varied terrain.
• Supports for 3 water bottles, including one on the bottom of the down tube.
• Compatibility with mudguards, ideal for adverse weather conditions.
• Handlebar developed with Deda, with space for aerodynamic attachments and other accessories.
