The MTB cathedral will be the venue for the World Championship in 2029
The UCI has officially announced that Nove Mesto, one of the most beloved venues by fans and professionals, will be the host of the 2029 Mountain Bike World Championship. The decision was made at the congress held in Kigali where the venues for 2030 and 2031 were also established.
Czech Republic will host the XCO World Championship 2029
The main venue of the World Championship will be Nove Mesto na Moravě, considered the cathedral of modern XCO and one of the iconic events of the World Cup. There, the XCO, short track, and relay races will take place, while the gravity disciplines action will move to Dolní Morava, which will host the downhill and enduro in a completely renovated environment.

Just like we saw in the recent Valais World Championship in Switzerland, the Czech event will have ten days of competition and the races will be spread across two venues with all the main MTB disciplines gathered in one event. For Dolní Morava, it will be a historic challenge, as it will be the first time that a World Championship in the Czech Republic includes downhill and enduro, which has motivated significant investments in new infrastructures, such as a chairlift and circuits adapted to UCI standards.
