The largest edition of Sea Otter Europe is coming and it is free
The 19th, 20th, and 21st of September will host the ninth edition of what has become the largest and most relevant cycling fair in Europe. An event that will once again take place in the city of Girona, given the passion with which cycling is experienced there. A fair that perfectly combines its focus on professionals with various activities aimed at enthusiasts, which are undoubtedly part of the secret behind the growth of Sea Otter Europe.
More than 500 brands, competitions, bike tests, and much more at Sea Otter Europe
Girona once again becomes the epicenter of cycling for the ninth consecutive year, at least in Europe, hosting a new edition of Sea Otter Europe, the largest cycling fair currently held on the continent, with the presence of over 500 exhibitors, representing a growth of around 10% compared to last year.
A fair that, given the increasing importance of cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation, will also host the Euro Mobility Festival, aimed at promoting sustainable mobility to an audience for whom cycling is not just a sport and leisure activity.

The best road bikes of 2025
Sea Otter Europe will kick off on Friday, September 19th with a day dedicated exclusively to industry professionals, opening its doors at 10 in the morning. The rest of the weekend will be open to the public, after obtaining a free ticket on the Sea Otter Europe website. The event will run until 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and will conclude this 2025 edition on Sunday at 2:30 pm.
In addition to the exhibition area and various bike and product tests organized by different brands during the fair, competitions will also play a significant role over the weekend. The highlight will be the 226ers UCI Gravel World Series Girona-Costa Brava Sea Otter Europe on Saturday afternoon, where some of the most relevant figures in the discipline will compete, including the 2023 World Champion Matej Mohoric, recently retired road cyclist Romain Bardet, and active professionals like Tiffany Cromwell and Alison Jackson.
Equally important will be the Marathon World Cup race on Sunday, which, like the gravel competition, will feature some of the best cyclists in the world in this discipline, using the route of the Tramun Open ride that will run parallel to the official competition.
Complementing the race calendar at Sea Otter Europe will be the Shimano Super Cup Massi, a race belonging to the Catalan MTB Cup taking place on Saturday; the Super Cup Youth for the youngest riders; the Scott Marathlon MTB for those seeking a less demanding route than the Tramun, as well as a mini DH for the younger riders, and the Girona Trial Cup, all of which will take place throughout Sunday.
Road cycling enthusiasts will also have their place with the Ciclobrava by Orbea ride, which will explore the most charming places of the Costa Brava and Les Gavarres.
A key feature of this festival is the Demobike, bike tests organized by 38 of the exhibiting brands, for which reservations are required. It is expected that these reservations will fill up shortly before the start of Sea Otter Europe and can be made on the official fair website.
