The first Fizik helmet?
Last weekend marked the start of the international XCO season at the Shimano Super Cup Massi La Nucía 2025. An event that brought together some of the best cyclists in the discipline and served to present important innovations on the circuit. In addition to new signings and structures, equipment was one of the main highlights and there we were able to see what appears to be the first helmet from the Fizik brand.
This could be the first Fizik helmet
The Orbea Factory Team. Fizik arrived in La Nucía to debut their new competition structure and there we could see for the first time their new signings, such as Simon Anreassen and Bec Henderson showcasing the new gear and bikes for 2025. Additionally, they introduced Fizik as a new technical footwear partner, but what we didn't expect is that they would also be present in helmets since they currently do not have any models in their catalog.

The Italian brand Fizik is known for the quality of their footwear and saddles in disciplines such as road, MTB, and gravel, but until now they do not have any helmet models in their catalog. However, the images captured during the event show a compact and ventilated Fizik helmet design. This suggests that it could be a prototype in development or a final model about to be released to the market.
The helmet design follows current trends, with a lightweight and aerodynamic structure that seems suitable for both XCO and road cycling. Additionally, it can be seen that at least this version incorporates the Mips system, as indicated by a sticker on the outside of the helmet.

So far, this helmet has not been seen on any other XCO team or among road cyclists. Fizik sponsors this year with footwear and components to renowned teams such as UAE Team Emirates of Tadej Pogacar, EF Education-EasyPost, and Movistar Team, which opens the possibility that this novelty could extend to other cyclists in the future.
The new XCO season is already underway and, as usual, it will be full of innovations both in sports and in the equipment used by teams. We will have to stay tuned to learn more details about the possible first Fizik helmet and its availability in the market.
