Gravel has become a fully established discipline with more and more practitioners. This has led to a multiplication of gravel events in just a few years. We have gathered for you all the events we have found (in Spain) so that, practically any weekend of the year, you can find a challenge to face.

The Most Complete Gravel Race Calendar in Spain for 2026

As we mentioned, gravel is fully established in current cycling. A discipline that draws from both the road cyclist side, who finds in gravel sensations of speed and sportiness similar to those of the road, but without the worry of having to deal with increasingly hostile traffic. On the other hand, there are many mountain cyclists whose natural habitat is the vast network of tracks and paths that dot the Spanish geography, for which a modern mountain bike, with long suspension travel and large tires, is too cumbersome.

It is this middle ground, capable of satisfying a wide variety of cyclists, in addition to the varied approaches to gravel, that has made this modality grow overwhelmingly. These conceptions of gravel range from the most competitive in super-fast races to non-stop adventures lasting several days, where the cyclist must be completely self-sufficient. All of these are included in the Spanish gravel event calendar for the year 2026.

The fourth edition of the Tres Cantos event is becoming a classic at the start of the season, having even hosted the Spanish Gravel Championship a year ago. Apart from the competitive modality, where the Madrid Gravel Championship will be at stake, there is a cycling tourism march modality where participants can choose between two route options of 74 or 55 kilometers, mainly on well-maintained tracks and the rolling terrain that precedes the peaks of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Additionally, for those who want to compete, Specialized Spain, the main sponsor of the event, has prepared a social route to recognize the most relevant points of the course.

The plains of Extremadura provide a perfect setting for gravel practice with their vast network of dirt tracks in perfect condition, many of which were once intended for the passage of transhumant herds and today are pedaled at full speed by gravel enthusiasts. The Coal Gravel Race also marks the kickoff of the Spain Gravel Cup and is part of the Tour Gravel Race circuit along with the 34AC Gravel Race, Raia Gravel Race, and Villa Gravel Race.
