We also cannot forget mountain biking after Mathieu van der Poel announced his intention to compete in the world championship in this discipline. For fat tire bikes, Pirelli offers the highly regarded Scorpion XC, which come with a varied selection of casings and treads to adapt to any situation the cyclist may encounter.
With the agreement signed with Alpecin-Deceuninck, there are now 2 World Tour teams, this one and Lidl-Trek, that will use their tires, something that for the brand "is as important as sporting results because it allows us to develop the product in all disciplines and with athletes who have a solid and broad technical sensitivity," said Samuele Bressan, Global Marketing Director of Pirelli Cycling.
On the other hand, Mathieu van der Poel, after his first experience with the new tires during the team's training camp in Alicante, expressed that "I really like the tires; I tried them a bit here in Spain and they offer optimal grip, especially on these roads, which can be slippery, especially in the morning. They always make me feel in full control of the bike, which is great."
