The 14 invited teams for the Lenzerheide MTB World Cup have been confirmed
The Lenzerheide MTB World Cup in Switzerland will take place from September 18 to 21 and will be a historic event as it is the last World Cup race where we will see Nino Schurter compete. The UCI and Warner Bros have just announced the 14 teams that will compete by invitation in this round.
These are the 14 teams invited to compete in Lenzerheide
The iconic Swiss venue of Lenzerheide will once again host the MTB World Cup and the eight invited teams for the XCO race and the other six for downhill have just been confirmed.
Although all the teams that applied for a spot in downhill have been accepted, the selection for XCO has been more competitive: only 8 out of the 19 applicants secured one of the spots. Among them, the debut of the Swiss team Thömus Akros - Youngstars stands out, a subsidiary of the established Thömus Maxon team. A development team focuses on young national talents, and has already shown its potential in previous events thanks to the results of Monique Halter, double runner-up in the U23 XCO category, and her brother Nicolas Halter, also with two podiums this year.
