Tadej Pogacar and UAE extend their contract until 2030
Tadej Pogačar traveled this week to Abu Dhabi to attend some commitments before taking a well-deserved vacation, and it was there when both parties communicated that they will continue together until at least 2030:
"I am very proud to extend my contract with UAE Team Emirates. This team has been my home for the last five years and I really can't imagine myself anywhere else," declared Pogacar.
"The best moments of my career have come in UAE Team Emirates and that is proof that all the staff, management, teammates, and partners allow me to perform at the highest level. I am very excited about the future. This team gives me the best opportunity to fight for victories and that is exactly what I intend to do."

On the other hand, Mauro Gianetti, team manager, explained: "It is an incredible feeling to announce this contract extension for Tadej Pogacar, the leader of our team and the best cyclist in the world. Tadej joined the team as an ambitious 20-year-old rider, and we have seen him flourish into the Champion of the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and the World this season. His talent is evident to all, but he is also one of the hardest working and dedicated cyclists in the peloton. Tadej deserves all his successes and I am delighted that he will stay with us for many more years."
It is worth mentioning that until 2024 Pogacar topped the list of the highest-paid cyclists in the world with 6 million euros, but even before winning the World Championships, there were rumors that his salary could rise to 8 million after winning the Giro and Tour. None of this has been officially confirmed, but it is certain that his salary will have been updated with the contract renewal.
