Steel and rim brakes for this new and exclusive Officina Battaglin 1984
To celebrate the 40th anniversary since the legendary Giovanni Battaglin, a cyclist from whom the Italian brand specializing in classic steel frames takes its name, ended his sports career, the brand launches the 1984, a limited edition of its top-of-the-line frame, the Portofino.
Classic cycling flavor in the spectacular Officina Battaglin 1984
Officina Battaglin is an Italian brand, based in the city of Marostica, in the heart of the Veneto region where a good number of traditional companies in the sector are located, such as Fizik, Wilier, Gaerne, or Campagnolo itself. A brand founded by one of the most legendary cyclists of the 70s and 80s of the last century, Giovanni Battaglin, and that has maintained its essence by continuing to manufacture bicycles of the most exquisite quality.
Now, the brand pays tribute to the legacy of its founder with the launch of the 1984, a wonderful bicycle, based on its Portofino frame, the top of its collection, made through traditional construction with lugs and the best possible raw material: Columbus HSS GB81 steel tubes manufactured exclusively for Officina Battaglin, with which a very limited edition of only 12 units is produced, turning this 1984 into a true collector's gem.

A frame that, as it could not be otherwise, is decorated with the traditional cromovelato technique consisting of chroming the steel surface and then applying a transparent paint to achieve that metallic effect typical of the best bikes of the 80s.
Despite its classic appearance and construction, the 1984 is a bike with some modern details that make it a fully usable model with performance in line with current times, thanks to aspects such as an oversized conical headset, wheel clearances that accommodate tires up to 28 mm, or equipping a carbon fork to mitigate rough terrain.
Of course, such a limited edition is custom-made for the buyer and features a classic geometry to maintain the classic essence in the bike's behavior, in addition to being able to choose the color we want for its cromovelato. A bike that can be ours for a price of €4,636 for the frame and fork option, or if we opt for a fully assembled bike, Officina Battaglin has prepared a setup with Campagnolo Super Record, Bora WTO 45 wheels, and Deda Superleggera components that amounts to €10,987.
