SRAM expands its Eagle Transmission ecosystem with new entry-level components

The new  SRAM Eagle Transmission system that allows the rear derailleur to be directly attached to the frame without the need for a hanger has brought a disruptive change to mountain bike transmissions. It is expanding throughout the SRAM catalog, we have already seen it in gravel and it would not be surprising if it reached the road. Meanwhile, it continues to expand for MTB and now does so with a very attractive range of entry-level components.

The appeal of the new Eagle Transmission system is such that it is already influencing the purchasing decisions of enthusiasts. That is why it is important for brands to have a wide variety of mountain bike models with this technology.

SRAM has understood this and has just presented an expansion of its Eagle Transmission catalog with a series of entry-level components that can only be seen on pre-assembled bikes. They cannot be purchased separately as spare parts, they will only come as standard assembly on some mountain bike models.

SRAM S-1000 EAGLE Cranks

The SRAM S-1000 Eagle Transmission cranks are presented as an elegant and robust crankset designed to offer strength and reliability. They are compatible with 8-bolt chainrings, as well as steel or aluminum chainrings with protectors.

SRAM S-1000 Eagle Transmission Rear Derailleur

The S-1000 Eagle Transmission rear derailleur is the entry point to the Eagle Transmission ecosystem. It uses the same architecture as the GX Eagle Transmission model, and features the Full Mount design that allows it to be directly attached to UDH frames, providing extra strength and durability. The surprising thing about this type of system is its ability to make smoother shifts the more tension there is in the transmission, something that truly changes the rules of the game.

This derailleur can be combined with all other T-Type ecosystem components and has replacement parts.
