The new S-Works Phenom with Mirror promises 28% less pressure
Specialized continues to expand its range of saddles made through 3D printing with the new S-Works Phenom with Mirror, a saddle with traditional elongated lines and a flat top that is so versatile that it is used in road competitions by cyclists like Kasper Asgreen and in DH by riders like the World Champion Loic Bruni.
Body Geometry and 3D printing come together to achieve the most comfortable saddle, the new S-Works Phenom
A competition saddle that provides firm support for better power transfer does not have to be at odds with maximum comfort. This is once again demonstrated by Specialized with the development of their new S-Works Phenom with Mirror, in which they continue to extend 3D printing manufacturing with their Body Geometry technology, studying countless pressure maps and how blood flow behaves in the soft tissues that rest on the saddle to achieve a model with traditional lines but capable of reducing pressure by 28% on the ischial support.

To achieve this, they have taken 3D printing to the limit of precision with a construction that, on a carbon shell, has a three-dimensional structure formed by 8,735 nodes and 20,055 struts so that the structure has greater flexibility to adapt to the cyclist's anatomy, more than any foam used in a conventional saddle.
The design of this S-Works Phenom once again relies on the vast database of biomechanical studies from Retül and pressure maps on the saddle of thousands of cyclists to find the optimal design.
The S-Works Phenom with Mirror, as we mentioned, is a saddle of traditional length, specifically 27 cm, compared to the increasingly common saddles with cut-off tips, and thanks to its flat top, it is appreciated by many competition cyclists for the mobility it allows, allowing pedaling at different points on it according to the circumstances.
As is customary, Specialized manufactures this saddle in two width options: 143 mm and 155 mm to best adapt to the width of the cyclist's ischial bones, and thanks to Mirror 3D printing technology, it not only reduces pressure on the support points but also achieves a very remarkable weight of only 223 g. The S-Works Phenom with Mirror is now available for a price in line with the brand's top-of-the-line saddles at €390.
