The special edition of Roglic's S-Works Tarmac SL8 after winning La Vuelta in detail
As befits a winner of La Vuelta 2024, Primoz Roglic also has his special edition bicycle as a tribute to his victory in the Spanish race. A bike that he could not show off in the usual final stage that usually serves as a tribute to the winner, as this edition of La Vuelta was a new competitive day due to being a time trial. However, Specialized has not missed the opportunity to present a special edition of its S-Works Tarmac SL8 specially decorated for the occasion and with the same equipment used by the Slovenian.
Primoz Roglic already has his S-Works Tarmac SL8 decorated in red for La Vuelta
Any occasion is good to present a special decoration for one of their bikes. Specialized has had plenty of reasons to do so over the past few years, such as the rainbow bikes of Remco Evenepoel or, a few days ago, the golden bike celebrating the Belgian's victory in the Olympics.
Now it's Primoz Roglic's turn, who has brilliantly won La Vuelta a España 2024 and now has a machine decorated in red to match the jersey that distinguishes the leader of the Spanish race. A red color for which Specialized did not have to work too hard, as the paint pattern is almost identical to the model with SRAM Red AXS that we were able to test last year when the S-Works Tarmac SL8 was launched on the market. The only differences are found in the gradient that runs through its head tube and fork, as well as the Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe logos on the seat tube.

Although it was not used in competition, only on the podium, this personalized S-Works Tarmac SL8 has the corresponding race number and, of course, the name of its owner on the top tube.
Beyond the frame decoration, SRAM also joins in the customization by adding red logos to the levers of the new Red AXS.
These logos are also used on the SRAM Red AXS cranks, in this case, conventional double chainrings, although in the stage with the finish at Cuitu Negru, we saw the Slovenian using the gravel XPLR version of this group to have more than enough development to face the inhuman ramps of this climb.
And being a product from the SRAM ecosystem, the Hammerhead Karoo cycling computer also dresses in red for the occasion with a specific casing for the event.
