An 8.8 kg Spark, ready to perform in XCM

Mountain bike 30/01/24 10:50 Migue A.

Following the recently presented range SCOTT Spark 2024 we get a very special version of the model. This is the Spark RC NEON, the latest concept from Dangerholm where he squeezes the potential of the Spark down to 8.8 kg and ready to compete in an XCM test.

The SCOTT Spark RC NEON is as light as it is resistant, enough to perform in an XCM test without worrying about its reliability

SCOTT Spark RC NEON, this is the latest from Dangerholm

After the incredible SCOTT Spark RC Hypersonic that Dangerholm built in 2022, the popular customizer has set out to further reduce the 9.19kg he achieved for that version but without the assembly losing confidence or robustness.

The power and inverted fork are from the Intend brand and both components have been customized by Dangerholm in aesthetics or functions, such as the handmade GPS support

This new project called SCOTT Spark RC NEON has culminated in two setups, one with a dropper post and another with a rigid seatpost. And thanks to a configuration style like the one followed a few years ago in XCO, it achieves a very low weight but ready both to face any jump and for long routes.

The wireless RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost of 125mm helps with the integration in the set but it is not the best option if what you want is to reduce weight, even after the chroming with which it has been customized

Between the two versions of this SCOTT Spark RC NEON only the configuration of the wheels and the dropper poest changes and its weight is 8.82 kg for the Super Light model and 9.67kg for the setup with dropper post.

For the rear derailleur he has chosen a gravel model, the SRAM RED XPLR customized and with the oversized Kogel Kolossos cage
Garbaruk XC 40T cranks with Kogel Ceramic bottom bracket and Xpedo MForce 8 Ti pedals
With 3D mesh and ultra-light, this is the Björn Setka saddle. Attention to the detail of the minimalist Tune Würger Skyline seatpost clamp
Trickstuff Piccola brakes with Kogel Titanium screws
The SL version, Super Light, mounts a Björn Glagol carbon seatpost and PiRope Light with Duke SLS4 Ultra 28 wheels
The setup with dropper post opts for Extralite HyperBoost 3 wheels
