Sina Frei joins the hypoxia chamber in preseason
Altitude training and hypoxia workouts are common for any high-performance cyclist, both on the road and in mountain biking. But we are used to seeing this type of preparation during the competition season and not so far from the racing period.
Now Sina Frei shows that her preparation for 2025 has begun by acquiring a new hypoxia chamber that will allow her to sleep at altitude without leaving her room. These types of chambers are installed in the athletes' bedrooms, with the bed inside, and simulate the conditions of hypoxia, oxygen deficiency in the body, necessary to achieve metabolic adaptations that improve performance.

Altitude training has been one of the great performance revolutions in recent years and its guidelines and protocols evolve at the pace of new research and testing. And even for some years now hotels with hypoxia rooms have become popular.
After her last two victories in the Short Track World Cup races and her two podium finishes in the XCO races, Sina Frei seems ready to start 2025 just as well and her preparation seems to have begun.
