Shimano shows signs of recovery in Europe after a good first quarter
After two years of accumulating losses, green shoots seem to be appearing in Shimano's activity, which has just announced the results of the first quarter of 2025 in which the green numbers have once again shone in its finances, mainly driven by the European market.

The recovery of the European market boosts Shimano's sales
Good news for Shimano and, by extension, for the bicycle market, after the results of the Japanese brand for the first quarter of 2025 were released, showing a 15.6% increase in sales compared to the negative balance of 5.6% that Shimano experienced in 2024. Sales in which the GRX gravel groups and the bestseller road bike Shimano 105 have been the main protagonists.
Shimano has stated that "there were signs of recovery in the sales of complete bikes at retailers" and that the recovery of consumption in Europe and the containment of inflation have been essential for the good results achieved on this continent, the main driver of the numbers obtained.

On the other hand, the Japanese firm continues to bear the burden of the Asian and Central and South American markets, as is also happening in North America due to the "changes in trade policies" in clear reference to the problems generated by the tariffs set by Donald Trump.
Despite the good news that these results represent, Shimano remains cautious about the market's evolution in the coming months.
