Schurter reunites with his greatest rival of all time in a video that you can't miss
The documentary series N1NO BEYOND premieres a very special episode: "Rivals", an emotional and sports immersion into the rivals that defined the career of Swiss cyclist Nino Schurter, the most decorated cyclist in the history of MTB cross-country.
Nino Schurter sits down with Julien Absalon and reviews all the rivals of his sports career
In this sixth chapter, released today, Schurter reunites with his greatest rival of all time: Julien Absalon. Together, they review their most intense duels and share for the first time a ride without race numbers through the trails of Chur, Nino's hometown.
"Without rivals, you are nobody. They push you to give your best", reflects Schurter, with 10 elite world titles, 36 victories in the World Cup, and Olympic medals of all colors.

In addition to Absalon, the episode recalls his confrontations with other big names like Jaroslav Kulhavý, Victor Koretzky, or Mathieu van der Poel. Battles that not only shaped his racing style but also contributed to Nino staying at the top for over a decade.
An important detail in the video is that for the first time we hear Julien Absalon say that Nino is "the best of all time" in this sport. Something that the community had assumed, but it is difficult to quantify considering that, although he has 5 fewer world championship victories and 3 fewer World Cup victories, Absalon has 1 more Olympic gold medal than the Swiss.
Julien Absalon retired a few years ago precisely accused of respiratory problems similar to those currently plaguing Nino Schurter for months. Still, this same weekend we will be able to see the Swiss in action again at the XCO World Cup in Andorra.
