Scalpel LAB71 , the most exclusive from Cannondale comes to Mountain Bike
In early 2023, Cannondale introduced the LAB71 line, a designation that we would only see on the most sophisticated models in its catalog and that now comes to the Scalpel mountain bike range.
Cannondale Scalpel LAB71: the best XC of the brand
The new Scalpel LAB71 are already on sale, but the truth is that some time ago we see them in competition at the hands of Cannondale Factory Racing, here you can see in detail Mona Mitterwallner's Scalpel LAB71.
Until now, the LAB71 name had arrived on the road with the Supersix EVO 4 model and on gravel with the Topstone, but it finally appears in the mountain bike catalog with three models: a hardtail Scalpel HT LAB71, the Scalpel LAB71 with a 100 mm Lefty fork and a 120 mm Scalpel SE LAB71.
In all three cases, the Scalpel LAB71 has the best possible setup of each model and a frame made of carbon Hi-MOD Lab71 Edition. Cannondale does not specify the weight of the frame or if any special system has been used in its manufacture to reduce weight or improve stiffness in relation to other models that also mount the Hi-MOD frame.
The Scalpel HT LAB71 is priced at €10,499 and features a 120mm Lefty Ocho Carbon fork with HollowGram 25 carbon wheels and the new SRAM XX SL Eagle AXS groupset.
For those looking for the best XC from Cannondale, the Scalpel LAB71 costs 11,999€ and comes with the Hi-MOD Ultralight 100mm FlexPivot frame with Lefty Ocho Carbon fork, ultralight HollowGram XC-25 SL carbon wheels and SRAM XX SL Eagle AXS Transmission groupset.
The Scalpel SE LAB71 is the best option for marathon and with a price of 11,999€ it mounts a Hi-MOD Ultralight frame with 120mm FlexPivot system, 120mm Lefty Ocho Carbon fork, HollowGram XC-SL 27 wheels and SRAM XX SL Eagle AXS Transmission group.
You can consult the complete setups and the rest of specifications on the official Cannonale website.
