Scale RC Super Gravel: Dangerholm is back with a hardtail MTB for gravel

The bike geek and genius Gustav Gullholm, also known as Dangerholm, has come up with a new project. He is returning to gravel and for this he has once again opted for a hardtail mountain bike frame, that of a SCOTT Scale, with the new Scale Rigid fork. That together with a unique set-up has given birth to a Scale RC Super Gravel weighing only 7.67kg.

Gustav Gullholm himself begins the presentation of his new creation with these words: "There’s this joke going around that some modern gravel bikes are becoming so capable that they’re starting to resemble 90’s mountain bikes, and especially so if fitted with a flat bar. But would it really be such a bad thing?"

Oversized CeramicSpeed bearings, titanium Dward Design crankset, Moonlight headlight with integrated battery and Trickstuff Piccola Carbon brakes. Such a light and exclusive 'Dangerholm' build.

 

The Scale RC Super Gravel is built on a Scale RC World Cup frame, the latest version introduced in 2023, made of HMX carbon fiber. At the front is the new SCOTT Scale Rigid fork, which integrates perfectly with the frame and offers the opportunity to bring a mountain bike as close as possible to a gravel bike.

The SCOTT Scale was renewed in 2023 and for 2024 it has received the option to mount the SCOTT Scale Rigid fork, a stiff and lightweight setup that will delight those who appreciate speed on a mountain bike (or gravel bike).
The Scale Rigid fork and Syncros Silverton SL wheels (made of carbon fiber monocoque together with the spokes) are as robust and stiff as they are light.
Integration and clean lines are an obsession for Dangerholm and for this he chooses the integrated handlebar, the Syncros Fraser iC SL for XC, with minimalist pushbuttons and levers. We have no doubt that if he could integrate the grips into the handlebars he would do it.
