The Rock Shox Rudy XPLR for gravel debuts the Charge Race Day 2 cartridge
Rock Shox improves its gravel fork Rudy Ultimate XPLR to achieve greater control in shock absorption and, therefore, to make our routes more fun. A fork designed for those who seek the wildest side of gravel regardless of the long distances usually faced in the discipline or the technical difficulties that are sometimes found in some of the major events on the calendar.
Embark on the most adventurous gravel with the new Rock Shox Rudy Ultimate XPLR
Although suspension forks have not fully caught on in the gravel discipline, there is a side of it that does not hesitate to approach the mountain biking of the early days, but with modern bikes. For those who do not hesitate to include technical difficulties in their gravel routes or seek the maximum comfort on those long routes usually tackled with this type of bikes, Rock Shox continues to bet on its line of Rudy XPLR suspension forks, specifically designed for this discipline.

The latest update presented by Rock Shox specifically concerns the Rudy Ultimate XPLR model, which incorporates the new Charger Race Day 2 hydraulic cartridge, the lightest cartridge they have ever made, according to the brand, with a setting designed for gravel riders, along with a much more solid lockout for when the most direct reactions are sought.
The Rock Shox Rudy Ultimate XPLR remains at an extremely light weight of 1,344 grams without sacrificing tremendous solidity to achieve total precision in handling. A stiffness supported by generous 30mm stanchions. To finish off its structure, it is worth mentioning its wide bridge, capable of accommodating tires up to 700x50c and with a crown that allows for easy mounting of a full fender or the short Rock Shox fender included as standard.
In any case, we cannot forget that this Rock Shox Rudy Ultimate XPLR is a gravel fork, so it is equipped with a very limited travel that can be adjusted to 30 or 40mm. A fork that we can incorporate into our gravel bike for a price of €1,010. Additionally, if we already had a previous generation Rock Shox Rudy XPLR fork, we have the option to upgrade it by separately purchasing the Charger Race Day 2 hydraulic cartridge, which will have a price of €308.
