Sea Otter Europe closes its ninth edition with record visitors and a world-class sports program
Despite the intermittent rain on Sunday, the public attendance on Friday and especially on Saturday allowed for historic attendance figures. In the sports section, more than 6,000 cyclists participated in the different events, with the Ciclobrava as the main attraction on the road, bringing together about 1,800 cyclists through the most emblematic landscapes of Girona and the Costa Brava.
The big news this year was the integration of La Tramun into the official program, held as the HERO UCI Marathon World Cup, which attracted the best specialists in the discipline from around the world. Swiss Casey South and Polish Paula Gorycka were crowned winners of a race that reinforces the international projection of the festival. In addition, the Gravel World Cup - 226ERS UCI Gravel World Series crowned Belgian Daan Soete and Australian Nicole Frain.
