Rapha presents the lightest waterproof jacket in its history
Hand in hand with EF Education-EasyPost cyclist Kasper Asgreen, who has put it to the test during his training sessions for the classics in the harsh climate of Denmark, Rapha launches its new Pro Team Gore-Tex Lightweight Rain Jacket, a garment that takes the latest version of the well-known waterproof/breathable membrane to excellence.
The Rapha Pro Team Gore-Tex Lightweight Rain Jacket combines maximum lightness with the best protection against rain
Rapha's new creation, the Pro Team Gore-Tex Lightweight Rain Jacket, fully lives up to its name, with a minimalist construction that allows it to weigh only 110 grams in size S for women and 128 grams in size M for men without sacrificing full protection in extreme rainy conditions that a rain jacket should offer.
For this, Rapha has chosen the latest generation of the famous Gore-Tex membrane, a completely new membrane that, seeking sustainability and respect for the environment, has renounced the use of PFAS. A membrane that, despite adding these substances that were used to improve its properties, does not lose its ability to resist rain or transpiration.

The hobbies that Lefevere prohibited for his cyclists
This membrane has 3 layers to ensure maximum resistance and, of course, the seams are carefully heat-sealed to ensure that water does not find a way to reach the cyclist's body.
Being so lightweight and compact has an additional advantage, as it can be folded up to occupy a tiny space so that it takes up hardly any space or causes discomfort when carried in the pocket of our jersey.
It is only available in black as the membrane itself, without being laminated onto any fabric, forms the garment. As expected with a high-end product with these features, the price we have to pay for it is high, €335, but if you live in a place where there is no other option but to ride in heavy rain day in and day out, it is surely an investment that you will quickly amortize.
