What makes the new Orbea Alma 2025 so special

The Orbea Alma 2025 arises from the need to make a rigid mountain bike efficient with a vertical tube compatible with 31.6mm seatposts. A tube of those dimensions would compromise the comfort and absorption capacity of the frame, so Orbea engineers had to come up with a solution capable of optimizing rigidity and comfort.

Something they have achieved thanks to the X-Fader technology, its new geometry, and a high level of integration.

X-Fader: the heart of a new hardtail evolution

What really makes the Alma 2025 special is its frame with X-Fader technology, a system that acts as a micro damper in the vertical tube, absorbing vibrations and impacts without compromising rigidity. This allows riders to pedal more efficiently, reducing fatigue and increasing control on demanding terrain.

The optimization of the rear triangle, with flattened chainstays and seatstays, improves vertical absorption and reinforces power transmission, providing a smoother and more stable ride. In addition, the construction and the new carbon design further reduce vibrations, improving comfort without sacrificing performance.

The frame of the new Orbea Alma 2025 is visually groundbreaking, but as we can see, it is not just for aesthetic purposes, all its new lines are functional and work to make it a high-performance XCO bike.

The new geometry makes it more capable on descents

The new Orbea Alma 2025 opts for a geometry that balances agility and stability. Its 67° head angle and 75.5° seat tube angle optimize control on steep climbs and technical descents. While the shorter seat tube exposes more of the seatpost improving impact absorption and increasing flexibility, especially on rough terrain. In addition, the tire clearance of up to 2.4” allows for mounting larger volume tires, improving grip and traction.

The 110 mm travel fork completes the set, providing a perfect balance between impact absorption and lightness.

Total integration: a bike designed to the last detail

It is undeniable that the new frame catches the eye, but just stop for a minute to see that what is truly hypnotic about the Alma 2025 is its level of integration. This section is not casual or only for aesthetic reasons, Orbea has designed the Alma 2025 with a high level of integration to improve the aesthetics and the rider's experience.

• Carbon cockpit: Ultralight (265 g), with SIC integration for up to three cables.
• MP10 dropper seatpost: Infinitely adjustable, with 100 mm of travel and a weight of only 419 g.
• Squidlock remote: Total control from the handlebar, allowing you to adjust the dropper post and switch between three fork positions without letting go of the handlebars.
• Smart Clips and service window: Facilitate the installation of accessories and the maintenance of internal wiring.

The new Orbea Alma 2025 is available in 5 models, all in carbon, with 4 sizes and 3 color options Cobalt Blue (gloss)/Carbon Raw (matte), Seaweed Carbon View (matte-gloss), and Mars Red (matte)/Wine Carbon View (gloss). 

The prices of the range confirm the general market trend and a general price reduction compared to the previous version. The price of the new Alma 2025 ranges from 2,499€ for the M30 to 7,999€ for the M-LTD model.
