Q36.5 launches the Vampire Hooded, a winter jacket developed for Tom Pidcock with an integrated balaclava
Q36.5 has presented the new Vampire Hooded, a winter jacket designed for training and competitions in cold, rain, and humidity conditions. Developed based on the needs of Tom Pidcock and the Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, it stands out for its waterproof construction, aerodynamic cut, and an integrated hood that allows for the protection of almost the entire head without adding accessories.
Q36.5 Vampire Hooded: protection against cold and rain with only 292 grams
The Italian brand Q36.5 continues to transfer the solutions developed alongside its professional riders to its commercial catalog. Its latest proposal is the Vampire Hooded, a jacket designed for riding at temperatures between 0 and 10 °C, which aims to combine the protection of a winter garment with a fit typical of competition clothing.

One of its main arguments is the weight. The jacket weighs 292 grams in size M, a particularly contained figure for a garment that incorporates thermal insulation and rain protection.

To achieve this, Q36.5 uses a construction that adapts the materials to the needs of each area of the body.
The front part of the torso and the arms incorporates Air Insulation technology, an insulation based on microfleece fabric that helps retain body heat. This is complemented by a waterproof membrane with a resistance of 10,000 mm water column and completely thermally sealed outer seams.

In contrast, the back uses UF Hybrid Shell fabric, non-laminated and with greater breathability. This distribution helps promote the evacuation of excess heat during intense efforts, when maintaining an adequate body temperature is as important as protecting oneself from the cold outside.
An integrated hood that allows for the omission of other accessories
The main feature of the Vampire Hooded is in the neck area. The jacket incorporates a particularly high thermal collar, responsible for the name Vampire, which extends to form an integrated hood without seams.
This element can be placed under the helmet to protect the head, ears, and a good part of the face on the coldest days. When less protection is needed, it can be lowered and used as a conventional neck gaiter.

This solution provides additional protection without the need to carry a separate hood.
The design also maintains a Race Fit pattern, with a silhouette specially tailored to reduce excess fabric and enhance aerodynamics on the bike.
Among the finishing details, a double-ended front zipper 8 mm wide stands out, while the Storm Grey version incorporates transferred logos and reflective elements on the back to improve visibility.
Price and availability of the Q36.5 Vampire Hooded
The new jacket is already available in the official Q36.5 store with a price of 450 euros. It is marketed in Storm Grey color and in sizes ranging from XXS to XXL.
The brand warns that the Race Fit cut is tighter than that of its conventional garments, so they recommend considering a larger size when the usual one is already particularly snug.
