The Slovenian Primoz Roglic announced a few days ago that he would leave Jumbo-Visma at the end of the season and after many rumors, it has finally been confirmed that his destination will be to lead the Bora-Hansgrohe team in 2024.

Primoz Roglic will race for Bora-Hansgrohe in 2024

The current winner of the Giro d'Italia has set his next goal in the Tour de France, and to assault this company he needed a whole team willing to support him 100%. Something that was difficult to have in a Jumbo-Visma where Jonas Vingegaard will be the leader during the French Grand Tour, as long as he is well.

For this reason, the Slovenian had been looking for a team for months that would offer him a plan, also a salary, in line with his talent and ambitions. After rumors about his possible signing for INEOS, where he would have the same problem as in Jumbo, by Lidl-Trek or even there was talk of Movistar, it has finally been the German team Bora-Hansgrohe who will have Roglic as leader for 2024.

The information, which has been confirmed by different sources, also includes data on its duration, two seasons, and Roglic's salary, which will be 6 million euros per year. A figure that places him as the highest paid cyclist in the peloton alongside Tadej Pogacar.

With this move, the 33-year-old Slovenian ensures a team free of leaders above him and with enough potential to provide him with everything necessary to compete in a Tour de France. Remember that Bora-Hansgrohe already won the Giro d'Italia with Jay Hindley in 2022 and it remains to be seen if it is capable of winning a Tour with Roglic.
