Pogacar caught with a possible new Colnago V5RS
After learning yesterday the news that Tadej Pogacar will be in the next edition of the Paris Roubaix, the world champion is back in the news for the striking bicycle with which he has been seen during an event. Although this Colnago is customized with the classic camouflage pattern of prototypes, everything points to it possibly being a new Colnago V5RS.
New Colnago V5RS?
The image, published by Lukáš Ronald Lukács on X (formerly Twitter), shows the star of the UAE Team Emirates on a new bicycle that hides the details of the frame, but it is clear that its lines maintain a very similar aesthetic to the current Colnago V4RS.

From the image, and the current context of the brand's catalog, we could also anticipate that this supposed Colnago V5RS would come with aerodynamic improvements since during the recent launch of the Colnago Y1RS, the Italian brand itself stated that the current V4RS offered up to 20 watts less resistance at 50 km/h and with a 0° angle of attack. With this information on the table, it is logical to think that the V5RS will bring a significant evolution in this area.

It would also not be strange if the new version had a significant weight reduction since the V4RS with which Poga?ar won the Giro d'Italia weighed around 7.02 kg, and its main rivals have bicycles closer to the UCI's minimum limit of 6.8 kg.
Although there is still no official launch date or confirmed technical details, everything points to the new Colnago V5RS possibly making its competition debut very soon. We will be attentive to any appearance in the professional peloton.
