How much does Pogacar's bicycle weigh and how much is it worth?
The weapon of Tadej Pogacar for the Giro d'Italia 2024 and on which, for the moment, he remains the leader of the general classification is none other than the Colnago V4Rs that the historic Italian brand presented at the beginning of 2023 in addition to the Colnago TT1 that the Emirati team began using two years ago, right during the 2022 Giro.
Colnago provides its best bikes to Tadej Pogacar
Colnago, as a good historic Italian brand, has traditionally been linked to competition, having equipped some of the best cyclists of each era. Currently, it has become a completely premium brand that, in turn, is supported by one of the best cycling teams in the world, the UAE Team Emirates, with the best cyclist of the moment, Tadej Pogacar, who continues to elevate his machines to the highest level time and time again.
In this Giro d'Italia 2024, the bikes of the Cambiago brand already have three victories, starting with the most notable, the time trial last Friday where Tadej Pogacar made a significant move in the general classification.

For the individual time trial, UAE Team Emirates uses the Colnago TT1, a bike that the Italian brand developed in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Milan, taking advantage of the wind tunnel that this institution has to validate this spectacular time trial bike in which it is striking how the bottle and bottle cage are an integral part of the frame, occupying the space between the down tube and the seat tube while also serving aerodynamic functions.
The UAE Team Emirates' Colnago TT1 is equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace. During the time trial ending in Peruggia, Tadej Pogacar opted for a configuration with spectacular 60/46 carbon chainrings combined with a standard 11-34 Dura-Ace cassette. Also noteworthy on this bike is the spectacular custom aerodynamic extension for the Slovenian.
In day-to-day riding, Pogacar relies on the Colnago V4Rs, the latest generation of the Italian brand's monocoque bike where stiffness and aerodynamics were reinforced, as well as shaving off some grams of weight to make it even more competitive in mountain stages. However, it does not have a record weight, especially considering the latest aerolight models, remaining, in ready-to-ride condition, just above 7 kg.
The assembly is based on Shimano Dura-Ace in terms of the group, highlighting the wheels provided by ENVE or the integrated handlebar also signed by ENVE. Of course, wearing pink almost from the beginning and being the top favorite, Colnago already had a pink decorated version prepared which is the one that Tadej Pogacar has been using for almost this entire first week of the Giro d'Italia.
