POC launches a limited edition of the Procen Air EF Pro Cycling
The POC Procen Air Air, the aerodynamic road helmet that POC launched last year and we have seen on the heads of EF Education-EasyPost, is now available in the brand's catalog for those who wanted to acquire this model in the colors of the North American team. A helmet that will be available in limited edition.
The POC helmet from EF Education-EasyPost can now be yours
With its peculiar aesthetics, the POC Procen Air aerodynamic road helmet is one of those models that you either love or hate. An appearance that does not leave indifferent and that hides behind it innovative aerodynamic concepts to achieve maximum efficiency as explained by the performance director of EF Education-EasyPost Peter Schep "Last year, the Procen Air made a significant difference to our cyclists. Our tests illustrated the aerodynamic gains that would be obtained."
A helmet that, as befits a helmet for daily use, in addition to taking into account optimal aerodynamics, must also consider other factors that make it fully functional, starting with excellent ventilation thanks to the internal channels that concentrate the airflow entering the helmet to, thanks to the Venturi effect, make the expulsion of the air heated by the head more effective.

Being a helmet inspired by time trial models, this POC Procen Air has a visor that attaches to the helmet with magnetic supports. Obviously, with this visor is where the best aerodynamic figures of the helmet are obtained, although it is common to see professionals using it without a visor and with their preferred glasses.
Also magnetic is the helmet's closure buckle, making it very easy to put on and take off, even with one hand.
In the current trend of this type of helmets, the POC Procen Air partially covers the ears in the style of time trial helmets, a coverage that has been adjusted to the maximum to avoid turbulence in the area and thus favor that the cyclist can hear perfectly, something essential when riding in a peloton where hearing is usually the sense that first alerts us when a fall, a hook, or any other incident occurs.
A helmet that, according to performance tests carried out in the wind tunnel, saves power ranging from 5 to 18 W depending on the speed at which the cyclist pedals. However, there is another data that further highlights the effectiveness of the POC Procen Air: In 15 of the 41 victories achieved by the EF Education-EasyPost in 2024, the protagonist cyclist used this helmet.
