Pidcock being Pidcock: sleeveless jersey, short socks, and testing his new Pinarello Dogma F on the mountain
That Tom Pidcock is not a conventional cyclist has been known for years, and in his latest video, he reminds us of it again. The British rider stars in a video filmed in Chile, where he does not hesitate to descend a mountain bike-style slope on his new road Pinarello.
Tom Pidcock pushes his road bike to the limit
The scene, filmed during the Pinarello-Q36.5 team's training camp, shows Pidcock descending a technical slope on his road bike, showcasing impeccable technique. A reminder of what he is capable of after we couldn't enjoy his presence in the cyclocross season this winter.

While most professional teams start January concentrated in Spain, in Sierra Nevada, Costa Blanca, or the Canary Islands as usual destinations, the Swiss team has opted for a much more exotic alternative this year: Chile. A change of plans that responds to the saturation experienced in those areas this year.

In Chile, the team has found the combination of altitude, good roads, and favorable weather that cyclists pursue during this time. Although just looking at Pidcock's gear, with short sleeves and short socks, one can imagine it might be warmer than expected.

Beyond the off-road spectacle and the gear, Pidcock is preparing for his debut in the 2026 road calendar, which will start with a block of classics and a Spanish tour beginning with the Vuelta a la Región de Murcia, followed by Clásica Jaén and Vuelta a Andalucía. Subsequently, he will face top-level events like Strade Bianche, Milan-Turin, and Milan-San Remo.
From there, after participating in the Volta a Catalunya, the British rider's focus will shift to the hilly classics, a terrain where his explosiveness and technical skill often make a difference.
