Pidcock announces his schedule for spring and will start in Murcia
The Vuelta a la Región de Murcia, which this year returns to being a stage race, albeit only two stages, will see the debut of Tom Pidcock in the 2026 season on February 13. The British rider will be looking for a triumphant start to the year by combining classics and stage races with an eye on a Liège-Bastogne-Liège that will conclude this first block of his season.

Intense season start for Tom Pidcock, culminating in Liège-Bastogne-Liège
The start of 2026 is very similar to last year for Tom Pidcock. However, the Pinarello-Q36.5 cyclist has decided to swap the sands of the AlUla Tour for a debut in Murcia, which is practically just around the corner as its two stages will take place on February 13 and 14.
A race that will link to another event that could suit him perfectly, the Jaén Paraíso Interior Classic, which will be followed by the Vuelta a Andalucía, where Pidcock could only finish third last year despite being the most active rider in the quest for victory.

Pidcock will continue with a relentless schedule, moving to Belgium to participate in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, which marks the official start of the cobbled campaign, linking it with Strade Bianche, Milano-Torino, and Milano-San Remo before facing the Volta a Catalunya, which will be one of the highlights of spring for him.
After the Volta, only the Ardennes Week will remain, with the precursor of the Fleche Brabançonne, to conclude an unusually intense first block of the season compared to what leaders of various teams usually style nowadays. In the Ardennes classics, Pidcock will try to seek his best performance in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, a race that on paper fits his characteristics perfectly, but where the level is always enormous, as evidenced by the fact that in recent years, the victory in this race has been dominated by Remco Evenepoel and Tadej Poga?ar, not a small feat.

When announcing the calendar for this first segment of the season, there was not a mention of which grand tours the British cyclist will face. Let us remember that his intention, after the podium finish at La Vuelta, was to prepare for these races more thoroughly. Given the intense calendar and his early debut, his presence in the Giro d'Italia seems ruled out, so it could be assumed that the Tour de France and La Vuelta a España would be the chosen events for Tom Pidcock in 2026.
