Peter Sagan signs with Specialized Factory Racing for 2024

Peter Sagan's return to mountain biking was one of the great attractions of the XCO World Championships, the Slovakian is closing his last season in road cycling with Total Energies but has already confirmed that 2024 will be dedicated to mountain biking with the intention of qualifying for the Paris Olympics, what was unknown until now was what his team would be.

Peter Sagan confirms he will race with Specialized Factory Racing in 2024

The three-time World Champion on the road is a true cycling legend and has marked an era with his charisma and way of relating to the public. Sagan shook many clichés of conventional road cycling and he did it partly because his sporting career started in mountain biking. He was Junior World Champion in 2008, and over the years he always revealed that it was where he had the most fun.

Now, he is ending his time as a professional road cyclist and will dedicate at least one year to mountain biking. He has not yet revealed his calendar, but if he wants to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics we should see him in most of the World Cup events between now and next summer.

His sporting career has been directly linked to Specialized and it was said that it was the brand that paid a large part of his salary, even when he was the highest paid cyclist in the world. So we could assume that it would be with Specialized that he would be racing next season.

Now, in statements to Cyclingnews, he has confirmed that he will wear the colors of Specialized Factory Racing in 2024. An important signing because, regardless of his results - Sagan finished 63rd at the last World Championships - he continues to generate enormous expectation wherever he goes.
