Pirelli makes its most advanced tires, the P Zero Race RLR RS, available to Lidl-Trek and to you
A twist for the Pirelli P Zero Race tires, Pirelli's competition tires that, now fresh out of the oven, acquire the RS, Racing Speed designation, a name the brand uses to refer to tires designed to prioritize performance above all else.
Tires that starting from the tenth stage of the Giro d'Italia 2024 have officially begun to be used by the members of Lidl-Trek although, in reality, they have been using them under the #Prototype label since the beginning of the season to fine-tune the final version that is now available in stores that sell products from the Italian brand.

As with the latest products launched by Pirelli, the P Zero Race TLR RS are manufactured in the brand's factory in Bollate, on the outskirts of Milan. Part of the Hi-Performance tire range, they have been designed with competition in mind, seeking maximum performance in terms of grip, bike handling, and minimal rolling resistance.
These characteristics are based on the SmartEVO2 rubber compound, which features a blend of chemically treated polymers to maximize its functions. Additionally, the SpeedCore carcass design has been revised, with the arrangement of its fabric layers reviewed to achieve an 8% weight reduction compared to the Pirelli P Zero Race TLR (290 g declared in 700x28c) that we already knew. The combined work of the new compound and carcass achieves a 16% reduction in rolling resistance, ultimately allowing you to ride at the same speed with less power output.
Of course, as the name suggests and as is mandatory in all modern tires, they feature Tubeless Ready technology for tubeless use, an aspect in which the brand has also reviewed its carcass design to ensure full compatibility with most rims on the market, whether conventional or hookless type.
With the introduction of these new Pirelli P Zero Race TLR RS, the available tire options increase, maintaining the existing P Zero Race, P Zero Race TLR, P Zero Race Sub SL, P Zero Race TT, and P Zero Race 4S. These new tires are available in sizes ranging from 700x26c to 700x32c.
