The Rallon 2024 offers increased rear travel from 160mm to 170mm and a more aggressive geometry with a 63.5° or 64° angle, 485mm reach in size L and a bottom bracket drop of 28mm or 35mm. The bottom bracket is 3mm lower and the increased reach provides greater stability and better cornering.
The more upright saddle angle helps improve pedalling position and stability on climbs, as well as allowing greater insertion of the dropper post, which can be up to 200mm.
The choice between 27.5" or 29" wheel sizes does not affect the geometry of the Orbea Rallon 2024 thanks to the included shock extensions.
In terms of storage, the Rallon 2024 can be fitted with a standard jerry can and includes a LOCKR compartment in the down tube with two removable, chambered, sealed bags and space for two CO2 cartridges. In addition, the main pivot and rear axle feature cleverly designed tooling, held in place by magnets. Rallon is fully equipped with an inner tube, tubeless kit, 3 to 6mm Allen spanners and a T25, all neatly secured in the space.
The new Rallon frame has been developed to have a better control and grip on the lines, something that has been achieved with the study of carbon layup. In its construction, the carbon has been arranged to provide a perfect balance of stiffness and flex without sacrificing strength.
To prevent failures due to maintenance or dirt, the Rallon's bearings are fully sealed and a new internal cable routing with improved inlets and outlets has also been used, while custom moulded polymer protectors are included to protect the frame from impact and eliminate chain noise.
