Orbea Diem, the simplest way to get from point A to point B
Sporty design, integration, customization capability, and powerful electric assistance are the arguments with which the Orbea Diem arrives, the new bet from the Mallabia firm to make your urban bike commutes easier.
The easiest way to get around the city is called Orbea Diem
We usually associate Orbea with their sports road and mountain bikes, in fact, the Basque brand has its roots in competition where much of the prestige that their bikes enjoy today has been forged.
However, Orbea's wide range goes far beyond sports and has never neglected urban cycling, especially in recent years where increased awareness of sustainability and the threat of climate change have led many to seek alternative means of transportation such as bicycles.
RECOMENDADO
With the launch of this Orbea Diem, the brand proposes an attractive design model that abandons the traditional double triangle structure in favor of a frame built in double diamond or Diamond Glide, taking advantage of Orbea's extensive experience in the use of hydroformed aluminum, giving this Diem greater vertical absorption capacity.
A frame that houses a Shimano EP801 or EP600 motor in its bottom bracket, equipped, depending on the model, with a 630 Wh battery, which can achieve a range of about 150 kilometers, or a 540 Wh battery, with a duration of around 120 km. Ranges that can be increased by using its 252 Wh Range Extender located in the position where a hypothetical bottle cage would go.
In the philosophy of seeking simple lines, the integration of the different bike elements plays an essential role, reflected in aspects such as the internal routing of its cables or its lighting system that integrates perfectly into the handlebar or, if using a front rack, into it. Lights that are positioned so that no element interferes with them to provide maximum illumination and activate automatically when night falls. The rear light has an accelerometer system that increases its intensity when braking hard.
Regarding customization, Orbea has included this Diem in its MyO program so that we can choose at the time of purchase which accessories we want to incorporate from the wide range, such as the aforementioned front rack or rear carriers, compatible with quick attachment systems for panniers from brands like Ortlieb or MIK, available in 20 or 30 kg capacity formats while its front rack can carry up to 10 kg of weight.
An Orbea Diem that comes in three different setups and, in turn, in three color options: Ivory White, Antracitte Glitter, and Spaceship Green.
