One jersey for the whole winter? Our review of the Gobik Weezer
Gobik has launched the Weezer as part of its Unity Cold27 collection and presents it as the long-sleeve jersey with the highest thermal insulation in its catalog. A garment designed for the coldest days of winter, but that maintains the fitted cut and comfort of a conventional jersey. We have tested it on several rides and, while its ability to keep warm was what we expected to check, its fit has been one of the aspects we liked the most.
We tested the Gobik Weezer, the warmest jersey from the brand for this winter
The Weezer is positioned above the well-known Pacer and Hyder in the long-sleeve jersey range from Gobik. The brand recommends using it between 7 and 15 °C, while the Hyder is indicated for temperatures of 8 to 16 °C and the Pacer extends its range up to 17 °C.

To achieve that greater insulation, Gobik has used a winter fabric that is 25% heavier than that typically used in the Pacer Solid. It also incorporates a thicker fleece interior, designed to retain body heat. The result is a jersey weighing 265 grams in size M, compared to the 220 grams of the Pacer or the 230 grams of the Hyder.

The weight difference is due to a deliberate choice. Gobik has prioritized insulation and, in fact, in its own comparative table, the Weezer receives the highest thermal rating of all its long-sleeve jerseys, although it falls behind the Pacer in breathability.

The rest of the construction follows the brand's advanced technological line. The sleeves use solid fabric and end in laser-cut cuffs, while the waistband incorporates a silicone band to keep the jersey in place. The front zipper is inverted and on the back, we find three pockets with Gobik's GRS retention system, as well as small reflective details.

We tested it in temperatures between 8 and 12 °C
We were lucky and despite experiencing a warmer than usual autumn, we were able to ride the Gobik Weezer on several two-hour outings coinciding with several colder than usual days. It was with estimated temperatures between 8 and 12 °C and accompanied only by a Gobik Skin base layer.

The experience has been very good in terms of thermal protection. With that combination, we rode perfectly warm and, despite the thicker fabric, we did not feel excessively sweaty. This last point we particularly liked because having more insulation always requires paying attention to how the clothing responds when effort increases.

Of course, thermal behavior can change depending on the intensity of the ride, the base layer we use, or the weather conditions. Our test was conducted within the range recommended by Gobik and it is under those conditions that we can assess its performance.
But if there is another aspect to highlight about the Weezer, it is its fit. The brand uses its Perfect Fit pattern, with a fitted cut that adapts very well to the body. Our unit, in Monarch red and size S, convinced us precisely because of how it looks when worn. The fabric has more body than that of a lightweight jersey, but retains that feeling of a fitted garment that we seek for road riding.
Additionally, the pattern leaves room to wear a base layer, something to keep in mind when choosing the size.

Our opinion on the Gobik Weezer
After these first rides, we are left with two qualities of the Weezer: it keeps you warm and has an excellent fit. We also liked that, when combined with the Skin base layer, that greater insulation did not translate into a feeling of excessive sweating.
From what we have been able to verify, it is an interesting option for those who prefer to continue using a long-sleeve jersey for much of the winter and need an extra layer of protection against the cold.
