Oier Lazkano leaves Movistar and signs with Red Bull Bora

The German team Red Bull - Bora - Hansgrohe, led by Primoz Roglic, has just made official the signing of the Basque cyclist from Movistar, Oier Lazkano. His last two seasons had earned him interest from the best teams in the peloton.

At 24 years old, Lazkano is one of the most established young talents in the peloton, and all rumors pointed to him not staying with Movistar in 2025.

This is how Ralph Denk, director of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, welcomed Oier Lazkano after his signing was announced.

"Oier is still young, but he has already made a name for himself. His style stands out in modern cycling: he attacks on instinct and rides with strength. Sometimes he seems from the old school, but he is successful and inspires me. We can make good use of this power in the classics, and with Oier we now have even more options for stage races."

On his part, Oier Lazkano was very excited about this change:
