Nuno Silva, founder and CEO of Bicimax and a reference in Iberian cycling, has passed away
The Iberian cycling world says goodbye to one of its great business references. Bicimax has announced the passing of its CEO and founder, Nuno Silva, a key figure in the development and consolidation of the cycling market in the Iberian Peninsula over the last three decades.
The cycling sector loses a key figure: Nuno Silva, founder of Bicimax
In a statement issued this Tuesday, the Portuguese company expressed its "enormous sorrow" for the loss of someone who was "more than a CEO". Silva was the driving force behind Bicimax from the beginning and "one of the main pillars of what we are today as a company and as a team," the note points out.
With over 30 years of experience, Bicimax has become a benchmark in the distribution of cycling equipment in Spain and Portugal, representing top global brands such as Fox, Santa Cruz, Cervélo, Classified, KMC, and Marzocchi, among many others.
The text, filled with emotion, remembers Nuno Silva not only for his business vision, but also for his approachable nature and sense of humor:

"We will miss seeing him enter Bicimax always in a good mood. On his best days, he wouldn't leave without telling a joke and making those around him laugh. This more informal statement reflects a bit of the closeness that Nuno had with all of us, something that those who were lucky enough to cross paths with him will understand very well."
The company concludes its message thanking "everything he did for cycling in the Iberian Peninsula" and remembering "with affection all the good times we experienced by his side."
Nuno Silva's legacy will endure in an industry that he helped professionalize and connect with major international brands, contributing decisively to the growth of cycling in Spain and Portugal.
From the Brújula Bike team, we want to send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the entire Bicimax team.
