Nino Schurter surprises everyone by announcing that he will go with Sebastian Fini to the Absa Cape Epic 2024
From March 17 to 24, the Absa Cape Epic 2024 will be celebrated and one of its top favorites has just revealed who will be his partner for this edition. Swiss rider Nino Schurter has announced that he will team up with Danish rider Sebastian Fini. It will be the first time he competes with someone who is not from his team and he will do it for a good cause.
Nino Schurter and Sebastian Fini at Cape Epic 2024
Although many of us assumed he would participate, the first news is that Nino Schurter will compete again in the Cape Epic. It is there where the 10-time world champion will start what could be one of the most special seasons of his sporting career. Not only because his main goal will be the Paris Olympics but also because it could be Schurter's last professional season.
Furthermore, it will be the first time that Schurter competes alongside a teammate who is not from his team. The chosen one is Danish rider Sebastian Fini, from Lapierre Mavic Unity, and both of them seem to be competing on behalf of the NGO World Bicycle Relief. An association that Schurter has been collaborating with for years and that is dedicated to promoting social development through bicycles.

This is how Nino Schurter announced the news on his social media:
I am delighted to announce that I will be competing in the Cape Epic again this year, where I will team up with Sebastian Fini. I am super excited about this!
Even more, as cyclists from two different factory teams, we would like to support World Bicycle Relief, the charity that mobilizes people through the Power of Bicycles. And we have some very special prizes coming soon related to this collaboration.
On Monday 25, right after the Cape Epic, you can join us at a charity event for World Bicycle Relief. We will be there in person to meet you, go for a ride, and talk about the Cape Epic with you, all to support the incredible work of this important association.
From what can be seen on Schurter's social media, SCOTT SRAM also seems to have a special SCOTT Spark ready for this race that Nino could debut in the coming days, so we will be watching.
