New Vision SC 48 i25: fast for road and gravel with a competitive price

As many of you may already know, Vision is the FSA brand focused on seeking maximum performance products, especially in terms of aerodynamics. However, performance is usually associated with a high price, which often does not allow the average person to enjoy the benefits of this type of material.

Now Vision manages to bring the advantages of its wheels to a much wider audience thanks to the arrival of the new SC 48 i25, wheels created with gravel competition in mind, given the increasing importance that aerodynamics is gaining in this discipline. Wheels that, at the same time, must be robust to withstand the harsh treatment of riding off-road.

After various simulation tests and wind tunnel tests, trying different profiles and sections, Vision opted for a 48 mm profile as the one that achieved the best balance between aerodynamics and absorption. It is combined with a 25 mm throat width, a common figure in current gravel wheels, to provide the best support for current tires that range between 40 and 50 mm in width, although the fact that it is a conventional rim design with a hook allows the use of tires with a lower width without any problem, making it possible to mount slick tires and use them on our road bike as well.

The Vision SC 48 i25 uses the V-200 hub made by the brand itself with a ratchet system in the freehub, a hub that has been extensively tested and is common in other models of the brand and, as expected, is available in HG, XDR, and Microspline core versions.
