The new Turbo Levo SL Alloy is the most affordable lightweight eMTB from Specialized
Specialized presents the Turbo Levo SL Alloy as the lightest and most affordable mountain electric bike in its catalog. The aluminum version of the Turbo Levo SL remains true to the features that define the identity of its carbon sister. The range consists of a single assembly, weighs 20.20 kg, and is available for 6,600 euros.
Specialized Turbo Levo SL Alloy: the lightweight electric trail bike dressed in aluminum
Specialized laid one of the first stones in the segment of lightweight electric MTBs when it introduced the first generation of the Turbo Levo SL. The movement brought a breath of fresh air to the market and reached out to those who longed for e-bikes with riding sensations closer to traditional bikes. The Turbo Levo SL Gen 2 arrived last year with interesting innovations in the frame and motor, among other innovations introduced by the brand.
Now, Specialized makes its creation available to less affluent pockets with the Turbo Levo SL Alloy which, in short, offers the same as its older sister but replaces the FACT 11M carbon with aluminum. It is the first lightweight electric MTB in aluminum from the American manufacturer.

Specialized is particularly proud of the riding capability and qualities of the Turbo Levo SL Alloy; a lightweight aluminum trail electric bike, mullet configuration -although compatible with a 29" rear wheel-, Turbo SL 1.2 motor with 320 W and 50 Nm -developed by the American brand itself- and 320 Wh battery -with the possibility of adding a 160 Wh range extender-.
Thus, aluminum lowers the price of the Turbo Levo SL to 6,600 euros; compared to the carbon version which ranged from 7,900-15,000 euros. As usual, aluminum penalizes somewhat in weight and leaves the scale at 20.20 kg, compared to the 18.83 kg of the heaviest carbon assembly and the 17.71 kg of the lightest one.
The model borrows the renewed kinematics from its carbon sister and has the same possibility to modify the geometry -both in the head angle and the bottom bracket-. Specialized offers the Turbo Levo SL Alloy in six sizes and three colors -charcoal black, indigo-obsidian, and green-.
