New titanium 5DEV cranksets for road, gravel, and XC

Beyond carbon, there is still life, as demonstrated by the Californian brand 5DEV that surprises us with spectacular and extremely light titanium cranks that add a touch of class to your bike.

5DEV develops incredible titanium cranks

The Sea Otter festival usually leaves us with a good collection of new cycling components from the many small producers that populate the geography of the United States, expanding the options for building setups that go beyond the dictatorship of the major manufacturers.

One of these small brands is the Californian brand 5DEV, which surprised Sea Otter visitors with spectacular titanium cranks. These cranks are produced in two halves through CNC machining and are joined by laser welding. The result is just 450 grams for the 170 mm version of cranks designed for road, gravel, and XC use, available in different bottom bracket widths and three lengths: 165, 170, and 175 mm, with intermediate options expected to be added soon to cover the full range of crank lengths.

The chainring attachment uses the 8-bolt spider system used by SRAM in their models, so in addition to the brand's own chainrings, you can use SRAM chainrings, including those with power meters.

Extremely exclusive cranks that, as expected, come with a price tag that matches their craftsmanship, specifically available on the brand's website for $1,199.99, approximately €1,121 at the current exchange rate.
