New Swiss Side Gravon Carbon 500 wheels for the most aerodynamic gravel
Swiss Side continues to bring aerodynamics to every corner of cycling. A good example are their new Gravon 500 gravel wheels designed for those seeking maximum performance on both roads and off-road paths, where the Swiss brand has put all their care to transfer all the benefits enjoyed by their road wheels to gravel.

Swiss Side Gravon now more aerodynamic with a new 50mm rim
Two years ago, Swiss Side entered the gravel segment with their Gravon wheel model developed in collaboration with the Swiss brand DT Swiss. These wheels, obviously, thanks to their higher profile, improve the numbers in wind tunnel tests compared to the previous Gravon 250 and Gravon 420 models at all wind angles.

Swiss Side has taken advantage of their collaboration with DT Swiss and their experience in manufacturing to create a more affordable carbon rim lamination, as well as more economical hubs and spokes, resulting in a pair of wheels priced at an interesting €1,595 and weighing 1,746g.
These wheels have a generous 24mm internal rim width, so the brand recommends using tires with a width ranging from 32 to 50mm. Swiss Side has also conducted wind tunnel tests with different tires and widths, finding that for these Gravon Carbon 500 wheels, the best aerodynamics are achieved with Schwalbe G-One tires in a 700x35c size.

As for the hubs, Swiss Side has chosen DT Swiss 370 with the updated Ratchet LN freehub system with 36 teeth, while the spokes are DT Swiss Aero Comp with Prolock nipples that help maintain tension and wheel alignment by keeping the spokes fixed in place.
