New SuperSlice, the fastest Cannondale ever built
Despite remaining one of the best time trial bikes in the peloton, the changes in UCI regulations and the evolution of materials meant it was time for the Cannondale SuperSlice to be updated. A bike that is now faster while continuing to be one of the lightest time trial bikes in the peloton, essential for current time trials, which often feature very demanding terrain and varied courses for those seeking a companion for long-distance triathlons.

Cannondale further improves its SuperSlice time trial bike
In collaboration with the riders of EF Education-EasyPost, Cannondale presents the evolution of its SuperSlice, its time trial bike that is now faster than ever thanks to a revised aerodynamics that takes advantage of the evolution of UCI regulations in this aspect, allowing it to improve global wind resistance by 14%, which translates to a 10 W improvement with a wind flow of 50 km/h and enhances its adjustability to make achieving the perfect cyclist position even easier.

Following the current trend of wider wheels and tires that improve aerodynamic performance, especially in crosswind conditions, this new Cannondale SuperSlice features wheel clearances adapted for 32 mm tires, leaving a 4 mm gap between the wheel and frame to enhance airflow interaction between the frame and wheels, while also providing better grip to tackle the winding courses that cyclists often face.
Additionally, Cannondale has focused on keeping its SuperSlice as light as possible, which is always welcome in a time trial bike, as, as mentioned, it is not uncommon today to find time trial courses that include climbs or technical sections.

For the design of the handlebar of this SuperSlice, called SystemBar TT Carbon, a crucial element in the aerodynamics of a time trial bike, Cannondale has once again relied on Vision, the aerodynamic components division of its regular component partner, FSA. A handlebar that fully integrates into the lines of the bike and features a mono-post mono-riser extension with JS-Bend extensions.
It boasts a great adjustability capacity, with 100 mm in height in 5 mm increments, 119 mm in reach, and an angle between 0 and 30 degrees. These adjustment possibilities are also found in the seat post, with a fully integrated head that allows for a 45 mm setback adjustment in addition to what the seat rail itself allows.

This Cannondale SuperSlice includes other technical details that make life easier for the mechanic who has to assemble and adjust it, such as the Delta triangular section fork tube, which we already knew from its SuperSix and allows for easy routing of the disc brake hoses through the head tube without increasing its section, which ultimately translates to a more streamlined head tube that always benefits aerodynamics.

This Cannondale SuperSlice is sold only as a frame kit, priced at €6,999, which includes the specific seat post and the aforementioned SystemBar TT Carbon handlebar with the mono-riser system and Vision JS-Bend extensions. It is worth mentioning that, following the current trend and especially with the team's switch to SRAM this season, the bike features a UDH type dropout, allowing for the installation of the SRAM Red AXS XPLR 13-speed single chainring, accepting a maximum chainring size of up to 64 teeth.
